Cancelled - Recreational School Holiday Program

Due to storm damage to the gym on Christmas Day our Recreational School Holiday Program and PlayGym sessions have had to be cancelled. Normal classes will resume on Monday 30th January. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Victorian Qualifiers 8/9th October

Congratulations all Balance girls on making the top 32 gymnasts and thus qualifying for Victorian Championships!

State 6 (78 competitors): Morgan Evans qualified 16th and Teya Brown qualified 27th

Waverley Comp. 24, 25, 26 Sept. 2011 WG State Levels.

On the weekend our State level 4,5,6,8 & 10 girls competed in the 3rd Club Invitational of the series. The competition continues to get tougher as they get closer to the Victorian Championships.

Some results as follows:

State 4 Team (Indigo, Meg, Annelise, Paige, Rena) -  3rd Beam & 3rd Floor - Great result girls!

GV State Camp

On the 26th and 27th August over 70 IDP 1-3 gymnasts attend the second GV State Camp for the year.  Girls from various clubs attended the two day camp where several specialist coaches assisted the gymnasts and coaches in various areas.  Clubs that attended the camp were Balance, BTYC, MLC and VWHPC.

 

The Advanced Womens Gymnastics Coaches Conference August 9-12 2011

Last week GA ran the inaugural Advanced Women’s Gymnastics Coaches Conference at the AIS in Canberra. Over 40 coaches from all over Australia attended the conference. Christine Danelutti, our Competitive Stream Co-ordinator attended the event along with and our High Performance Manager, Alicia Hayes who was lucky enough to get a scholarship to this event. The coaches left Canberra filled with plenty of information to spur them on in their quest to become better coaches.

 

Women’s Gymnastics Victorian Championships 10th – 13th June, 2011 State Netball Hockey Centre

Our IDP (International Development Program) girls competed on the weekend at the Women’s Gymnastics
Victorian Championships at State Netball Hockey Centre. Balance had gymnasts representing the club at Levels 5, 6 and 8.

WG Trial #2 HPC 21/5/2011

Our IDP (International Development Program) girls competed on the weekend at an Inter club competition and Trial 2 for National Championships at Victorian Women’s High Performance Centre (VWHPC). Balance had gymnasts representing the club at Levels 5 and 6. We had a few gymnasts pull out due to sickness but the girls who did compete did a great job with every gymnast improving from the last comp.
